The Sentinelle Vanguard for GE leverages a throughput enhancing Vanguard patient stretcher together with its innovative patient support design and its unique Variable Coil Geometry™, to transform your Signa® HDx or HDi MRI system into a dedicated system for breast MR imaging and intervention. High quality imaging

Our unique Variable Coil Geometry allows imaging coils to be customized for each breast of every patient, improving signal-to-noise ratio over fixed coils. This results in the ability to resolve detail in morphology which can lead to better breast cancer management and treatment options.

Patient care and comfort

Our patient-centric patient support features state-of-the-art ergonomics to comfortably accommodate patients with arms at side and arms over the head positioning. Patient comfort can greatly reduce images artifacts due to patient movement, resulting in improved image quality. The support arches of the system not only provide support for this positioning but also protect the patient from the magnet.

Padding is made of visco-elastic foam for improved comfort, especially in common pressure areas such as the diaphragm and sternum. All padding is adjustable, allowing customized cushioning for every patient, and the foam is covered in surgical grade material allowing for easy clean-up.

The open design of the Vanguard patient support allows maximum access to the breast for ease of positioning and intervention, while coils can be adjusted for different sized breasts and different areas for intervention. The coils can easily be moved medially and laterally, as well as anteriorly and posteriorly, providing the greatest flexibility in coil and grid placement. This permits optimal access for targeting in all quadrants of the breast. The Sentinelle Vanguard for GE is universally compatible with leading biopsy devices and localization needles.

Workflow efficiency

The Sentinelle Vanguard for GE offers a detachable table with comprehensive features – storage drawers, tray tables, biopsy grids, padding, safety rails, movable sternum supports and integrated lighting – that work together to improve workflow. Patients can be prepared outside the MRI suite before and after imaging and intervention. For dedicated Breast Imaging Centers, and to maximize your efficiencies, use two Sentinelle for GE tables; this will result in significant time savings – as much as 18 minutes in per-patient magnet use time for imaging and up to 33 minutes for interventional procedures.

What’s more, patients can be positioned comfortably and quickly, thanks to customizable coil and biopsy grids. This too can decrease set up time, increase patient accommodation and improve access to lesions for biopsy. Coil configurations are interchangeable for each application while using a common patient support.
